I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday and are looking forward to the new year! I took a week off to enjoy family and to revamp my website. In addition, I’ve been goal-setting and creating my vision board for 2018.

A vision board is a tool that represents what you want to bring into your life. The power of visualization is real, and placing a vision board in an area where you can look at it on a daily basis will enable you to manifest your dreams. If you don’t believe me, read about it here.
If you haven’t made one for the new year yet, you still have time to run out and get some materials to make one. There is no right or wrong way to make a vision board, but I’ll share how I made mine. Your vision board is unique to you, so you will have to do a little soul searching.

First, write a list of goals that you want to achieve in the next year. You should think of specific and attainable goals. Unfortunately, winning the lottery is not a goal. Specific ones are things like getting out of debt, going on a cruise, and volunteering at a local shelter on a regular basis.
Then, pick up some supplies such as poster board (some people use a bulletin board), glue stick, scrapbook stickers and some old magazines. If you don’t have any, check out your local library or bookstore for their outdated ones. You can also look for photos or words online and print them out if you can’t find what you’re looking for in magazines.

Take your time, your vision board doesn’t have to be created all in one day. I made mine over a few days, going back to the magazines, thinking, and planning out how I wanted to arrange everything on my poster board.

This morning, I made sure to tune in to my dear friend’s Facebook Live session on how she makes her Vision Board. She’s been using them for ten years and knows it works. She is a highly successful blogger and says that vision boards helped her attain her success. Claudia Krusch, founder of Trendy Latina, has detailed information about creating a vision board. After I finished listening to her, I finalized my board and hung it up in my bedroom. It will be the first thing I see in the morning and the last thing I see before I go to bed.

Make the effort to create a vision board for 2018. What do you have to lose?
