Occupation: Blogger / Stay-at-Home Mom
What did you want to be when you were a little girl?
A Dentist (until I realized all that was involved lol)
What are some different jobs you’ve had in your life?
I was a nanny all through college. I’ve worked at Drug-Free America, the Orlando Union Rescue Mission, and now as a blogger. (Oh, and I also worked at Starbucks for a few months in college, so I can make a pretty darn good latte!)
What do you work toward in your spare time?
I don’t have too much spare time between my blog, being a stay-at-home mom, and homeschooling my kids, but if I’m not working on those things, I’m usually spending time with my husband and kids and working towards just building a happy life for my family.
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Definitely not a morning person! But I’m also usually pretty worn out by the end of the day. I’ll call myself an afternoon person lol.
What are you most proud of?
My kids and my amazing husband.
What are you known for?
Cooking! I love to cook and bring goodies to my family!
What inspires you?
Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.
I am actually very uncomfortable in most social settings. I have learned to push through it and step out of my comfort zone when meeting new people, but it doesn’t come easy or naturally for me. It’s part of the reason why a food blog is perfect for me…I’m behind the camera!
Why did you apply to be an O Mag Insider?
I heard about the Insider group and I thought….it doesn’t get any bigger than Oprah!! I truly admire her story and the life she built on her own with hard work and perseverance. So I thought, what better platform to support than the O Mag family!
How do you live your best life?
I live my best life by being grateful. I know God has a plan, and I try to find joy in knowing that everything is working together for His purpose! It’s easy to take things for granted but finding joy in even the little things allows me to live my best life!
What are you reading now?
Shepherding a Child’s Heart by Tedd Tripp. Probably the best parenting book I’ve read.
What’s a day in your life like?
I wake up, get the kids breakfast, and then sit down to have my coffee and stroll through my phone checking emails, notifications, and such. Then I start homeschool. Usually we finish school around 11 and then have lunch and nap time for the kids. I try to do my blog work while the kids are napping. Once they’re up, we usually run errands, do something fun, or just relax depending on the day. Then my husband gets home, we eat, hang out, get ready for bed, and start again the next day!
