Meet O Mag Insider – Natasha Brown!

Age: 34

Occupation: Blogger & Social Media Influencer

What did you want to be when you were a little girl? Anesthesiologist

What are some different jobs you’ve had in your life?

Breast Cancer Researcher and working in a chemical engineering lab developing replacement bone to implant during surgery (in layman’s terms!)

What do you work toward in your spare time?

Building my collection of books. I have over 500 children’s books that I plan to donate as my children phase out, and my goal is to hit 1,000 in the next five years.

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Morning all the way!

What are you most proud of?

My kids. We have been through so much as a family, and they have always adapted to the different changes/challenges they have been presented with very well.

What are you known for?

My writing style. I can be very long winded but also thorough.

What inspires you?

I get inspiration from so many places & people that it’s hard to name just one source. I find ways to connect and draw inspiration from every situation/place whether good or bad.

Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.

My twin sister is a successful blogger, and my brother is a blogger as well.

Why did you apply to be an O Mag Insider?

For me this was a great way to build relationships with others who are in the same industry as I am. I love reading the blogs from the other insiders and supporting them. I knew right off the bat that this was a community that I wanted to be a part of.

How do you live your best life?

I don’t stress. When I was younger my dad taught me the importance of being stress-free, and I try my hardest to live by that. It’s not always easy, but there is nothing like having peace of mind and not worrying about anything!

What are you reading now?

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. It’s one of my favorites. Whenever there is a period that I have nothing to read, I always go back to it.

What’s a day in the life of Natasha Brown like?

I’m an early riser (like 4:30am). I like to use that time to prep myself mentally for the day before getting the kids off to school. While my older three kids are in school, my youngest (3 yo) and I usually hang out during the day with my mom who recently retired and my sister. My kids go to bed by 6pm, so that leaves me time to get work done at night. It’s my goal to not do too much work while they are up so that way I can always live in the moment.
