My Top-10 Favorite Things

The announcement of Oprah’s Favorite Things is a much-anticipated event each holiday season. This year, several of my OMagInsiders friends were selected to attend the 20th anniversary reveal in person in NYC on November 2nd. It was so exciting to watch them stream their experiences online – especially when Oprah walked into the room!

Oprah’s list always includes holiday gift items for every price range, and this year is no different. Her Favorite Things include 102 gifts that range in price from $13 (Burt’s Bees Baby Organic Cotton Holiday Pajamas) to the most extravagant item coming in at $2,000 for the 55-inch Samsung The Frame 4K UHD TV.

My last blog post was devoted to my absolute favorite item, Oprah’s new book The Wisdom of Sundays. However, today, I want to round out my top 10 list by itemizing 9 other of MY favorite things.

The Corkcicle 12 oz. triple-insulated glass is the cutest and most stylish insulated cup I’ve ever seen. It can keep hot beverages for four hours and cold beverages (ahem…wine) for nine hours! How awesome is that? It’s only $24.95 and is the perfect gift for a friend or co-worker.

A Great Thought a Day Notepad is a handheld notepad that includes 365 quotes to inspire you all year long.  Priced at $14.98, this makes a lovely gift or stocking stuffer for the holidays. I’m going to start using mine on January 1, 2018, as a journal of the year.

This is the softest and coziest sweater I’ve ever had  The Lark & Ro off-the-shoulder, cashmere sweater is $128.00 and comes in three different colors – beige, gray, and black.  What I love about this sweater is that it can be worn on top of the shoulders as well for a different look.

The Asobu insulated portable brewer is one of the coolest gadgets I’ve seen. This bad boy allows you to steep a delicious 40 oz. batch of cold brew coffee and keeps it cold for 24 hours! Prices begin at $50.00.

This is right up there on my list with Oprah’s book. The Gratitude Glass Jar comes with 365 cards to fill out throughout the year to remind family members the power of gratitude.  It is currently unavailable (high demand), but it is on my wish list.

Who doesn’t love puzzles? I remember sitting at the dining room table with my mom working on puzzles when I was a little girl. The Mad Capp I Am puzzle is a giant, poster-sized puzzle that turns into a beautifully-shaped animal head when you’re done. What a great way to spend time with friends and family for only $17.95.

Alexa now has the ability to show you things with the new Amazon Echo Show. You can ask for video clips, weather reports, song lyrics, and video chat with loved ones. There are so many things you can do with it, you’ll just have to see for yourself. It costs $229.99 and comes in both black and white.

I don’t know about you, but it is difficult for me to find the perfect pair of jeans that is snug in some areas and loose in others.  The NYDJ Gift of Fit comes with a gift card and measuring tape to ensure the perfect-fitting pair of jeans. Is that brilliant or what? You can shop in-person or online, and it is valued at $124.00. What a great gift for a sister or bestie.

My mom always told me to never leave the house without lipstick! The Julep Beauty It’s Whipped Lip Mousse Limited Edition Lip Vault will guarantee I have the perfect color for every occasion. This box of 25 matte lip colors costs $249.00.
