Ant-Man and the Wasp is a fun summer movie for the whole family! No spoilers here!
Even though I enjoyed Ant-Man from 2015, I wasn’t sure I would like Ant-Man and the Wasp. I thought the title and premise sounded silly and juvenile. But I should know better.
When it comes to Marvel movies, the writing is witty and the action is so clever that I end up laughing and going along for the ride.
In the Marvel movie timeline, Ant-Man and the Wasp takes place after Captain America: Civil War and is parallel with Avengers: Infinity War.
Scott Lang (Ant-Man), played by Paul Rudd, attempts to balance life as a single father. The kicker is that he has to do this while being under house arrest for his role in violating the Sokovia Accords in Captain America: Civil War.
During his time under house arrest, he is approached by Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) to join forces and uncover past secrets in an action-packed mission.
Do you think the mission will go as expected?
If you’re familiar with Marvel movies, you know that obstacles and turning points are all part of the formula.
Michael Peña adds a lot of humor to the plot, and Laurence Fishburne and Michelle Pfeiffer also play key roles in the storyline.
I don’t want to give anything away, but you MUST watch the two post-credit scenes. They are shocking! DO NOT leave the theatre until the screen goes dark. Trust me.
Also, make sure you’ve watched Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War before seeing this one.
One of the best aspects of these Marvel movies is that they are all inter-connected and make you want to keep watching each one to unravel the puzzle.
